OUR STORY

Esportita began trading in 2009 originally under the name Esportita Ceramics. Based in the North West of England the business specialised in sourcing artisan ceramic tiles from Spain, Portugal and Italy for discerning clients in the UK and Ireland. The business evolved into one of the leading commercial importers and suppliers of the finest ceramic tiles available around the world.

Although the importation of tiles still forms a part of our business, having built up extensive knowledge and experience in relation to the import, export and wholesale of goods from and to a variety of European countries, the business diversified to include a much wider variety of products.

The business changed names to Esportita Commeatus, reflecting our Latin links and wider business portfolio. Commeatus being the Latin word for Supplies, Provisions, Goods, Convoy, Passage or Voyage.

Esportita Commeatus is now a well- established and experienced importer, Exporter and wholesaler of an extensive range of goods, including but not limited to, designer clothing and accessories, furniture, IT equipment, electrical goods, ceramic tiles, and food items for sale within the UK. We are also involved in the export of UK products to a number of European countries.

Our owners are passionate about import and export of goods and the opportunities that this can create for businesses and individuals in the UK and around the world. This has lead Esportita Commeatus to become expert in navigating the post Brexit challenges of transporting goods in and out of Europe.
